IM[perfect]ION

I completed this layout for several reasons.

  • I wanted to use this paper by A2Z.
  • I wanted to use my Cricut some more. : )
  • I wanted to complete a challenge over at EBBCreations
  • I wanted to use my new soft pastels from Frances Meyer
  • I wanted to do some doodling! (with my awesome Sakura Souffle pens of course!)

It's called IMperfectION. My dear son took that photo, believe it or not. Click on the closeup for the full picture!

A day early... kind of.

I know you are waiting so I worked and worked and worked to get some initial results for the Call for Doodlers!!!! My vision is blurry and my head is spinning! Please keep in mind that some layouts may still be cut once the book gets to production for space. But I'll do my best to keep all of you in there!

If you have any questions, please email me at maelynnc@gmail.com. I'll email you with more information about your layouts soon.

Thanks again to everyone who submitted layouts and projects. I am even more inspired to get this book out there now that I've seen how much you all enjoy doodling on your pages.

Doodled layout call... need more time.

Okay everyone. I put out the call for doodled layouts simply not expecting that I would receive over 1,000 - yes ONE THOUSAND - layouts and projects. And my gosh, they're all so awesome!

So, I am going to need more time than I thought to get through these. Give me another 10 days. I know that seems like a long time when you're waiting on the results. Trust me. I'VE BEEN THERE! But I don't want to miss something wonderful because I was rushing.

Thank you so much for all the entries and your patience! :)

I'm so excited about my new designation with Sakura that I am having a GIVEAWAY right here on my blog!!! And guess what? Anyone can win. I'm going to have a random drawing from all the people who leave a comment on this post.

I'll give it one week and I'll draw a winner!!!
By the way - if you leave a comment and you choose Anonymous instead of a username or something where I can identify you, please put something in your comment so I can find you if you win! :)

HUNDREDS of entries so far!

You all have really pulled through! I've received hundreds of submissions for the book and am LOVING what I'm getting! OMG so many talented people out there!

I haven't received very many PROJECTS though. If you have any cards, altered items, home decor, etc. that you have doodled on, please submit these, as well. I really want to show tons of applications for doodling!

I'd also like to add that I am really wanting to get as mant of my creative papercrafting peers into this book as possible. I know what it is like to submit and submit and submit and get D-NIED! I'd love to give back with this and include as many of you as they'll let me put in the book! :) So, keep those submissions coming!

Woohoo!

If you've taken one of my classes, or been around me and my scrapbooking long enough, you know how fond I am of several products that Sakura produces... the Souffle pens especially. (I should get commission on these, seriously.) :)

Sakura also makes the very popular Gelly Roll pens that many scrapbookers use.

Well, I am now a Sakura featured designer! So cool.

Just wanted to share my excitement. Thanks for reading!!!! :)
