An acrylic album... FINALLY!

Am I the last person to have ventured into the world of acrylic albums? I see them a lot and just think they're so cool. I bought one about two months ago and honestly, had so many things I wanted to try, I didn't know where to start. But with my son sick with mono (eeek!) and a little time to clean my scraproom, I was ready to go.

Finally, two days later, it's done. I created an album I titled "The First Ten" referencing the first 10 years of my son's life. Not exactly a chronicle of the past decade but more of a quick visual reference in photos.

I used a lot of Stickles. I realized once I started using them on the acrylic that they look so SO great from both sides of the pages. I've included a slide show of the pages here. Just click on an image for a larger version. Hope you like it!

Oh, and HAPPY EASTER!!!

I've had several of these acrylic albums sitting around for months. Maybe this will be good inspiration for me to make something with them!

Me too! I bought one at Mania a few months ago, and there it sits on a shelf in my scrap room just waiting to be filled with memories. Hmmmm, this just might be THE weekend. Thanks for the push Maelynn. :D

Very cool! I hadn't really paid much attention to these albums before. The one you made is so cute, I'm inspired to try one! Thanks for the ideas!

oh no - you're not last! I have had one in a drawer for 2 months. I know the theme, know how i want it to look...just having trouble getting great pics of my subject matter (litte feathered wildlife) - and I am using that as an excuse to not even start. Guess I have a fear it will not turn out as I envision. Yours is beautiful - ready to do more?

Me, too--I've had the album covers for about two months...and no album done yet. Yikes! Hoping to get some inspiration from yours. What kinds of pens work best for doodling on acrylic or acetate sheets?

Very cute, Maelynn. I have seen a lot of the mini books but this one is by far the cutest I have seen. Thanks for sharing.

I think this is the BEST acrylic album I've ever seen! I love to scrap each page (you could see the instructions)! Beautiful!
